Tour in Vashlovani

The protected area of Vashlovani is located in the eastern part of Georgia-Dedoflistskaro district. The name Vashlovani derived from the national similarity and disposition of pistachio and apple trees that leaves the association of the fruit garden. Vashlovani supports a variety of incredible animals and rare birds . At different times of the year here you can see up to 60 species of birds including the black vulture, little bustard , the rare black stork and etc. The visitors will have the possibility to see Takhti tefa-mud volcanos, this place creates the feeling that you are on another planet. Historical fortress of Khornabuji- the first time is mentioned in the V century, when the king Vakhtang 1 Gorgasali founded here cathedral of episcopal. Temple of Elia Teybiteli – according to the legend ,the raven produced food for St. Elias and this is a place from where the St. Elias has been taken up to the heaven.

The road to the Dali mountain you will see the water reservoir (Iori river), which attracts the visitors with its gorgeous sights and panoramas. On the top of their hills there are round mud craters seething and boiling up continuously Mud, oil and gas have been ejecting from the holes.

The eastern part of Vashlovani is inedible of its fauna. This place of the national reserve was created to protect the Tugai type of floodplain forest. One of the best place where you can find Duruji . Food plane forest, water reservoir and the climate of the area are greet for a diversity of birds here.
