Tbilisi is the capital of the Georgia from IV century. There is plenty of ancient and modern architectural monuments are concentrated. At first we will visit “Abanotubani” – the baths area.The National Museum of History. Narikala – The main fortress of Tbilisi. Walking through some narrow streets. W’ll take cable train to the Funicular for panoramic views of the city. Travel by ropeway and look upon the top of the Old Town. We will visit the Rike Park and the Peace Bridge.Drive to Mtskheta. Mtskheta was founded in the 5th century BC. It was capital of the early Georgian Kingdom of Iberia (Kartli) from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD. King Vakhtang 1 Gorgasali (Wolf-Bodied), moved the capital from Mtskheta to Tbilisi. Visit one of the largest cathedral in Georgia – Svetitskhoveli. Visit the VI century Georgian Orthodox monastery –Jvari, which is built on a hill opposite Mtskheta, at the confluence of Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. The evening will end with dinner in a traditional restaurant, where we’ll taste delicious Georgian dishes.
