At first we will visit the Davit-gareja monastery complex. The complex was founded in I half of VI century by David (St. David Garejeli), one of the thirteen Assyrian monks who arrived in the country at the same time. We will visit the Bodbe Monastery and see the beautiful views. From there we’ll move to the picturesque town calles Sighnaghi. The city name in Turkish means “shelter”. It is a city built by King Erekle II in XVIII century.
Day 2
Wine Vault
On the second day we will visit the Kvareli Tunnel – The largest storage of Georgian wines kept in the 7.7 km long tunnel shaped wine cellar which consists of 2 large parallel tunnels linked with 13 small galleries. In Khareba winery you can taste 30 kind of wines produced by best wine companies in Georgia. After a little break, we will see Gremi – a 16th century architectural monument – the royal citadel and the Church of the Archangels. Tsinandali ethnographic museum, where 19 628 exhibits are kept .This is a place where in Georgia for the first time established European wine-making technologies. At the end of our journey we will visit the III-IV centuries City-fortress Ujarma
